Portland, OR – Sports Business Radio (@SBRadio) announced today that Boingo Wireless (@Boingo), a worldwide leader of connectivity solutions for sports and entertainment venues, has signed on as the Title Sponsor of the 2016 Road Shows. The 2016 tour will be known as the “Sports Business Radio Road Show, presented by Boingo.”
The Sports Business Radio Road Show brings Sports Business Radio to select university campuses for conversations with key decision makers from the world of sports. The conversations take place before a studio audience comprised of students, faculty and alumni and are recorded for airing on Sports Business Radio. Audience members are able to take part in a Q & A with the featured guest as part of the Sports Business Radio Road Show.
Boingo, recognized across the sports industry for its pioneering solutions in wireless connectivity, currently counts Philips Arena, Soldier Field, University of Arizona’s Arizona Stadium, Pinnacle Bank Arena and Bill Snyder Family Football Stadium, home of the K-State Wildcats, as venue partners, among many others.
Sports Business Radio host Brian Berger has conducted in-depth interviews with noteworthy sports business executives including Los Angeles Lakers President and co-owner Jeanie Buss (at University of Southern California), Arizona Diamondbacks President Derrick Hall (at Arizona State University) and former NBA star and entrepreneur Baron Davis (at UCLA) at recent Sports Business Radio Road Show stops.
As part of the partnership, Boingo Wireless executives and partners will appear frequently on Sports Business Radio to offer insight into how Boingo is helping its clients enhance wireless access for sports and entertainment fans.
“I love having the opportunity to get out of the studio and interview a big-name guest in person and I also enjoy the interaction with the students, faculty and alumni we meet on the college campuses we visit,” said Sports Business Radio host and founder Brian Berger. “Boingo is widely recognized as a leader in providing an exceptional wireless experience to fans at sports venues. Boingo will bring unique insights and expertise to our Road Shows and to our podcast and I’m thrilled to have them as a partner.”
“Boingo puts the fan first in all of our network designs and innovations, so we’re excited to have an opportunity to engage directly with fans, team and stadium staff, and sports business luminaries on the road with Sports Business Radio in 2016,” said Doug Lodder, Boingo Wireless Senior Vice President. “Sports Business Radio brings the latest trends, insights and sports business news to an influential industry audience and beyond, and we’re proud to support their outstanding content.”
